Grief is similar to being underwhelmed or not enthusiastic. Feelings of being "down" and not wanting more

Enthusiasm would be feeling "up" , excited and looking forward to more.

grief's definition (somewhat) is being sad of what has happening and expressing that sadness

enthusiasm's definition (somewhat) is being excited for what is about to happen and being happy

happy is the opposite polar of sad, and so they are opposite feelings

hope this helps

(somewhat)* means it is my definition
