First add 12x and 7x together (19x) then divide both sides of the equation by 19x. You should get a decimal that rounds to -0.11=x

12x + 7 ; x = -2

Simply plug in -2 for x in our given equation! :)

12(-2) + 7

Simplify.

-24 + 7

Simplify.

-17
