The large intestine works as a mechanical digestion. One of the uses of large intestine is to reabsorb the remaining water in the faeces. This action does not require enzymes and no new products are formed.
Only enzymes are involved in chemical digestion.
Chemical digestion occurs only in oral cavity, stomach, and small intestine.
