UAC codifies for the amino acid tyrosine and UAG its a stop codon.
A mutation that changes a normal amino acid to a stop codon its a nonsense mutation. Only one base pair changes (point mutation) it's enough to end the DNA translation prematurely and consequently the protein will be incomplete. A short protein may not be able to function.
