If f(x) = 2x + 8 and g(x) = x^4, what is (g ° f)(-3)?

(g ° f)(x)
= g(f(x))
= (2x+8)^4

Plug x= -3 into this equation
(g ° f)(-3)
= (2(-3)+4)^4
= (-2)^4
= 16

(g *f)(x) = (2x+8)^4

replace x with -3

(2(-3)+4)^4 =

(-6+4)^4 =


= (-2)^4


= 16
