Simplify :
3x^4 + 2x^4
NOTE the "^" are representing an exponent

To solve this you simply add the two variables together. When you add these the x^4 does not change, all that chages is the number s at the start when they are added together (in this case the 3 and the 2)

3x^4 + 2x^4

5x^4 is your answer
