Ralph is a great leader in the Lord of the Flues because he tries to make a sense of a community by acting as a leader and giving people certain tasks so that they can prosper and make a civilization to survive on the island. He uses the conch that represents civilization and listens to others to try his best to make everybody work together despite what others think is the correct thing to do. He focuses greatly on being saved, but at the same time focuses on staying alive until then unlike others such as Jack. Hope this helps!
