i believe the answer is B. Africans were subjected to widespread slavery in colonies, while Americans were nearly wiped out by disease and war.
The period between 15-18, there was almost no resistance among the African towards the Colonist due to the difference in military strength. But the American indian started to gather and fight the colonies despite the difference in strength.
(but the indians power was heavily reduced because they got infected with large scale small pox)
