y = |x| has vertex (0, 0).

When you replace x with x - h, the graph of the function shifts h units horizontally.

y = |x - h| + k

y - k = |x - h|

When you replace y with y - k, the graph shifts k units vertically.

The vertex moves from (0, 0) to (h , k).

The answer is (h, k).
