Masha’s biking speed is 6 miles per hour. First we have to find how long they were riding using Dina’s numbers: time = distance/velocity = 12/8 = 1.5 hours. Then we can find Masha’s velocity with velocity = distance/time = 9/1.5 = 6 miles per hour.
