Kim reduced the size of a rectangle to a height of 3 in. What is the new width if it was originally 6 in tall and 8 in wide?

the new width is 4 inches

If the original height was 6 inches and it was reduced to half that or in other words 3 inches, do 8 inches divided by 2 to get a new width of 4 inches.
