False. A patient who is conscious and is capable of making rational desicions for himself is allowed to refuse any type of treatment including first aid. Performing first aid on someone who matches the criteria constitutes charges equivalent to assault and battery.

However you can treat someone is unconscious or incapable of making rational desicions.

False. You have to ask if they want help or treatment. A patient can even refuse care from a paramedic
