18. Write an equation of a line whose graph is parallel to the graph of y = 3x – 10.

Being parallel means by definition that the lines will never cross. That being said, the second line needs to be the same slope. The y-int won’t matter as long as it is not identical to the first equation.

y=mx+b

m is slope

So one possible answer is...

y= 3x -2
y= 3x +5
y= 3x + 7

All these lines are parallel with the same slope
