Ulna is less moveable than radius because it has a hinge joint with the humerus in the process of olecranon. This joint only enable you to extend or flex the lower hand but not rotation. This cause it becomes more stable and less prone to subluxation. Radius joint with the metacarpophalangeal bones in the hand is also a loose one that allows rotation movement.
