The sequence of the James-Lange theory of emotion is based upon the theory that physiological events create emotion. The sequence in visual form is below: Event ==> arousal ==> interpretation ==> emotion The event in this case is the visual sighting of a very attractive woman. Based upon the James-Lange theory, Jay will undergo several physiological reactions from his visual cue and form emotions from the sighting (lust, love, desire, etc.)
