Write a fraction in simplest form that compares the area of Lake Ontario to the total area of all the Great Lakes. Then write the fraction as a decimal to the nearest hundredth

The area of lake Ontario is, O = 7,540 square miles

while the area of all the Great lakes is, G = 94,710 square miles

Taking the ratio O / G we get the value:

O / G = 7,540 square miles / 94,710 square miles

O / G = 754/9471

> write the fraction as a decimal to the nearest hundredth

Simply divide the ratio:

O / G = 0.08
