An oxidizing agent is a combustible substance. It is hazardous and thus, an HCS pictogram must appear on its label. The HCS or Hazard Communication Standard requires chemical manufacturers to ensure labeling, tagging, and marking of hazardous chemicals with the following information:
· product identifier
· signal word
· hazard statement(s)/precautionary statement(s)
· and pictogram(s), and
· name, address and telephone number of the manufacturer
