2x + 3 <= 8 / -3
2x <= 5 /÷2
x <= 2.5
x∈(-oo, +2.5]

2x + 3 ≤ 8

We're essentially just trying to get "x" onto it's own side.

So, subtract 3 from both sides.

2x + 3 - 3 ≤ 8 - 3

Simplify.

2x ≤ 5

Then, divide both sides by 2.

2x ÷ 2 ≤ 5 ÷ 2

Simplify.

x ≤ 5/2
