point - slope form is (y - b) = m (x - a), where m is the slope and (a,b) is the point.

Here m = - 8 ..... becasue parallel lines have the same slope

and (a,b) is (-8,2).

So, the point-slope equation of the line is:

y - 2 = - 8 ( x - (- 8) )

y - 2 = - 8 ( x + 8)

Answer: y - 2 = - 8 (x + 8)
