List the reason given by scientists as to why viruses are not considered living organisms

Viruses are not considered as living things because they lack many of the properties that scientists match with living organisms. Sometimes they lack the ability to reproduce without the aid of a host cell, and don't use the typical cell- division approach to replicate. HOPED THIS HELPS YOU :)
