If YOU were there...

You walklng past a newspaper stand when a headline catches your eye: "Austria-Hungary's Archduke Francis Ferdinand Assassinated in Sarajevo" Your first thought is, "Who's he?"You plck up the paper and read about the archduke and about the rising tensions In Europe related to his death. The article makes it sound like Europe is about to explode into war.

At this point, do you think the assassination will affect the United States? Why or why not?

Answer:

Well, at first glance I don't believe so. My opinion is based in a fact that US is leading a isolated policy, and is not interfering in the problems of European countries that much. Additionally, tensions between European imperialistic powers are quite frequent and this can also just harm the interests of United States.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know United States were not keen to participate in WW1 until 1917. Even then, they were provoked by the Central Powers, especially Germany and were practically obliged to enter the war.

Therefore, my opinion coincidence with what I have said in the answer.
