Individuals who use a value investing strategy are those who search for stocks that are valued less in the stock market compared to their intrinsic value. These stocks are also referred to as undervalued. Thus, seeing that the company's fundamentals are strong, in the long-term, its value will be much more. The other type of strategy is growth investing wherein the individual searches for stocks of companies that have above-average earnings growth rate.
