How women in rome gained more rights?

Theodora wife of Justinian spoke up for women and gave them more rights, at the time women had no say in political views, and mostly spent the mornings at the gardens.

Free born women in Rome were cives or citizens and they could work and be named in stories, not frequently but they were.
