Nonrenewable resources are resources that form at a rate that is much slower than the rate at which the resource is consumed and it can not be replaced after it us used. A renewable resource on the other hand like the Sun, wind and water is unlimited.

Petroleum would be considered a nonrenewable resource?. The petroleum is a liquid mixture of complex hydrocarbon compounds that is used widely as a fuel source. And fossil fuels are nonrenewable resources.
