Homelessness can affect a teen's school experience in making it more difficult to get out of class work done, as well as studying and preparing for tests. Homelessness can also give them a reliance on open media areas, such as the library, where computer and book use is free.

They're more likely to experience major development delays and to suffer from emotional problems. Homelessness may affect their social, physical, and academic lives.
