The courts do not recognize the existence of "fighting words" as a basis for disturbing the peace.

Unless it is on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, or creed then "fighting words" does not constitute disturbing the peace. They only cause hurt feelings, resentment, or offense. In order to disturb the peace one would have to inflict injury or incite a breach of peace.
