Meiosis differs from mitosis in the __________.

meiosis produces haploid gametes, where as mitosis produces somatic cells. meiosis involves two divisions, mitosis involves only one division. mitosis produces genetically identical daughter cells, meiosis produces genetically unique daughter cells.
