How would one describe the men who attended the constitutional convention?

The delegates to the constitutional convention were, of course, well educated, important people in their own states, most were from the city and shared ideas about the government. About half had graduated from college and most were bankers or investors of some sort whose financial interest lay with the value of real estates or stocks.
