People who are high in intelligence and/or self-esteem tend to be equally vulnerable to persuasion when compared to people low in intelligence and/or self-esteem. In addition, the primary difference among the models of persuasion recommended by hovland and mcguire and that proposed by greenwald is that greenwald model give emphasis to the role of elaboration in making persuasion.
