the geography of japan is that it is an island. years ago japan used to be connected to asia. then it broke off. one of the leaders decided too shut the island into isolation. no one could come in and no one could come out. since they were an island it heled that they had the ocean protecting them

Japan’s geography four large islands (along with thousands of small islands) that are located 500 miles off of the coast of China. Because of its isolation, Japan was protected from invaders.
