Why did women in some countries receive the right to vote after the war

During the war, women had to preform the men's duties and work... They, in a way, served alongside the men. In 1918, when they were given the vote, nearly every person that agreed with the motion in Parliament stated that they earned it, due to their service during the war. It was proved that they could go to war with the men. They were considered, nearly, equal.

I hope this helps!
