Why did stalin want the us and britain to open a second front in europe?

Well the Soviet Union had become like the main focus of Germany's attacks. So the U.S and Britain got to Italy to surrender, they also invaded the beaches somewhere at Normandy, drawing attention from the Germans.. hope it helps!
