Sparta was the Greek city-stae that focused on military conquests. Infact boys at age 7 that lived in Sparta had to leave their family to live in barracks and were harshly treated so they could become tough. Spartan men could return home at age 60, so you were gone from home for 53 years. I don't think you would want to live in Sparta!!
