You are given the points (-1, 7) and (4, -1).
You can easily find the slope by using the formula
m = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)
m = slope
(x₁, y₁) = (-1, 7)
(x₂, y₂) = (4, -1)
m = (-1 - 7)/(4 + 1)
m = (-8)/(5)
m = -8/5
The answer is:
