Tell whether the lines for each pair of equations are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.

7x – 4y = 4
x – 4y = 3


A. Perpendicular
B. Parallel
C. Neither

I think C because parallel lines would have the same gradient or slope. If they were perpendicular the product of their slopes would be -1. Also parallel lines don’t intercept one another, but these equations can be solved for unique x and y which is their point of intersection.
