The right answer is Antibodies.

Lymphocytes play a central role in the immune system, so their blood levels increase during infections. Both types of lymphocytes use two different mechanisms.

B lymphocytes (developed in the Fabricius bursa in birds, hence the B) are responsible for the production of antibodies, or humoral immunity.
