The type of reproduction that takes place in crocodile is called HERMAPHRODITISM.
An hermaphrodite is a living organism which has both the male and the female reproductive organs. Such animals do not need partners to reproduce, they reproduce on their own. Crocodile is an hermaphrodite because it is able to produce both the female and the male gametes on its own.
