There is no reaction between the two.

Zn + MgCl₂ → n.r

This is guided by the activity series. In order for a single-replacement reaction to occur, the element can only replace one element in the compound if it is more active. Since Zn is less active than Mg, it is unable to replace Mg. Thus, there is no reaction.
