Dangerousness had been conceptualized as a dichotomous variable, while risk assessment is a continuous variable. The terms dichotomous and continuous variables are used in logistic regression- statistical method for analyzing datasets. The dichotomous variable has only two possible outcomes (values or categories). The continuous variable on the other hand has an infinite number of possible outcomes (values, categories).
