The Substance Abuse under the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act shall protect a person who is under rehabilitation of alcoholism and had already stopped using illegal drugs or had undergone rehabilitation and also discontinued using illegal drugs.

Alcoholism is considered as a disability, however, employers have the right to prohibit alcohol at the workplace and give necessary disciplinary actions.
