Because of an eminent domain seizure of homes there during the designation of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. There's a lot of urban legends and rumors about Boston, Ohio involving chemical spills, satanic activity, and the like. But the fact of the matter is that President Gerald Ford signed a bill that gave the federal government’s National Park Service authority to seize land in order to establish more National Parks.
