Training refers to educating technical and operational employees in how to better do their current job. Training allows for mental stimulation and creative thinking. It also allows for reinforcement of the rules and guidelines and why they are important integral parts of performing the job. Training also allows for travel in some cases and meeting new people. Relationships are formed, ideas are generated, and sometimes a process can be bettered because of it.
