When someone drinks alcohol it affects everyone around him like family and friends. Usually when you are depress you can talk to someone but if you drink alcohol because you think its a "cure" for your depression you are causing your family pain and suffering because they look back when you are a kid and think...this the way i raised my son/daughter. Don't waste away your life with alcohol talk to someone and get help.
