the top and bottom angles are equal so 2x + 7 = 3x - 7
x = 14 degrees
12y + 1 + 2x + 7 = 180
12y + 1 + 2(14) + 7 = 180
12y = 180 - 1 -28 - 7 = 144
y = 12
Answer is x = 14 , y = 12
