Primate parenting takes place over a long developmental timeframe and begins with a baby completely dependent on their parents for survival. Survival of the baby requires a strong and long-lasting parent-child bond, which primes primates for lifelong social interactions.

the most important aspects in primate parenting is to teach the kids how to adapt. Society and environment will always keep on changing. So if the parents tried to kids the children solely based on their experience alone, those children might experience some extend of hardship because the society and environmental condition when they group might be extremely different compared to their parents'
