My latest problem took place at the supermarket (Walmart). My son is a toddler, so he is still learning how to act right in public. He started throwing a temper-tantrum because he wasn't getting a toy. My issue was that I needed to calm him down... screaming children in public can be rather embarrassing. I tried distracting him, threatening him with a time out, and ignoring him. Nothing was working. I started feeling very stressed, but eventually my son came to his senses. I guess all he needed was some time to "cry-out" his own frustration.
