A. because a Nationalist is a person who wants political independence for his/her country so it would make more sense for them to want to have a shared identity based on their culture and language.

Nationalism is when there is an expression of national consciousness in placing the nation above all others and also giving primary emphasis on the promotion of its culture and interests.
