Why did mercantilism and English trade laws upset colonial merchants and farmers?

trade was one of englands main reasons for finding its american colonies under the system of mercantilism. england tried to control what kinds of goods were traded to and from their colonies.colonists were not allowed to trade many of their goods with other counties.they had to buy and sell only to England
