The second answer would actually *not* be the correct one. The graph of the inverse of a function is one you obtain by reflecting the graph of the function across the line y = x (the dotted diagonal line in the first picture). Imagine “folding” the graph perfectly across that line. Which of those orange lines best represents that reflection?
