Ashoka sent monks to surrounding areas to share teachings of Buddah.

Missionaries traveled to Sri Lanka, to Myanmar, to others parts of Southeast of Asia Central Asia, to Persia, Syria, to Egypt, and eventually to China and then Korea and Japan.
